1. Who we are
StarCut Optimizador is operated by FERCAM LLC (currently being formed in Arizona, United States; while that process is completed, the Service is offered by its founder in an individual capacity — see the legal transition note in our Terms of Service). We are responsible for the processing of personal data we collect through starcut.app and optimizador.starcut.app.
2. What data we collect

3. How we use your data
- To grant you access to the PRO plan and know whether your subscription is active.
- To respond to your support inquiries.
- To understand, in an aggregated and anonymous way, which parts of the site work best (analytics), and improve the product — never to profile or sell data from identifiable people.
- To comply with legal/tax obligations related to your purchase.
We never sell your personal data to third parties, nor use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share data with
- Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record) — processes your payment and billing data under its own privacy policy. It's essential to be able to charge the PRO subscription.
- Anthropic (Claude) — if you interact with the "Vendedor IA" assistant, the content of that conversation is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the response. No cutting-project data is sent to Anthropic, only the text you type in the chat.
- Infrastructure providers (AWS Lightsail) — host our servers; they do not have access to your data beyond what's necessary to operate the infrastructure.
- We never share your data with third parties for marketing purposes unrelated to StarCut.
5. Cookies and analytics
StarCut uses Umami, a lightweight, privacy-friendly web analytics tool, self-hosted on our own infrastructure (not on a third party's servers like Google Analytics). Umami:
- Does not use cookies or persistent storage in your browser.
- Does not collect your full IP address or any identifier that would let us recognize you individually across visits.
- Only records aggregated metrics: number of visits, pages viewed, approximate country/region, device/browser type, and clicks on specific buttons marked to measure conversion (like "Try Optimizador free").
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook/Meta pixels, or any third-party advertising tracking tool.
6. Data security
We apply reasonable measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) across all our sites, restricted access to our databases, and we never store passwords or card numbers directly (that's handled by Lemon Squeezy). No system is 100% foolproof, but we actively work to minimize risk.
7. Your rights over your data
If you reside in Mexico, the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) grants you the ARCO rights:
- Access: know what data of yours we have.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Cancellation (deletion): request that we delete your personal data when it's no longer necessary.
- Objection: object to a specific use of your data.
If in the future we have users residing in the European Union, we equivalently recognize the rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hola@starcut.app with the subject "ARCO rights" or "Privacy request." We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days.
8. International data transfers
Our infrastructure runs on AWS servers located in the United States, and we use providers (Lemon Squeezy, Anthropic) that also operate in the United States. By using Optimizador from Mexico or another country, you accept that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, under the protection standards described in this notice.
9. Minors
Optimizador is aimed at professional shops, not minors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features (for example, cloud project saving) or regulatory changes. We will update the "last updated" date above and, for important changes, notify you by email or with a visible notice in the app.
